ST Endüstri: ''Teknopanel Organized Dealers Meeting in North Macedonia''

Teknopanel, which engages in exporting its sandwich panel and EPS products to 102 countries in 5 continents, organized dealers meeting in North Macedonia, in which its first overseas investment is made.

Teknopanel welcomed its domestic and foreign dealers in Skopje, the capital city of North Macedonia, between 4-6 May. The organization included a factory tour, a city tour, and visits to the main attractions of the region, and an important meeting was held on the crucial developments in the global and national economy as well as the in the industry and the company.

On the first day of the organization, the 5th manufacturing facility with a total area of 55 thousand square meter, 16 thousand square meter of which is closed, worth 20 million Euro in the Technological Industrial Development Zone (TIDZ) was visited. Teknopanel management shared the excitement of the first foreign investment with its dealers, and provided information on the factory including the products to be manufactured and production capacity.

Following the factory site visit, Teknopanel Family took a city tour and saw the historical places in Skopje to the accompaniment of specialized guides, and obtained information on the culture and natural beauties of North Macedonia.

The dealers meeting, which welcomed 150 people, started with the speech of Turgay Yüksel, the Board Chair of Teknopanel, and the position of sandwich panel and EPS products in the national and global market was discussed. Orhan Kahveci, Teknopanel General Manager, talked about the current state of and developments at the company, the importance of ranking in the ISO 500 and TIM 1000 lists, and he shared the pride of being at the top of the industry with the Teknopanel Family, stating that their aim is always being “the best” to keep staying at the top through the strategies they have developed.

Emphasizing that they have the only R&D center in the sector and they lead the market with new products they have developed, Kahveci introduced the new products that will contribute to positively to the environment in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability. Orhan Kahveci mentioned that they prioritize using resources efficiently in all activities as part of the sustainable environment policies, and he said that they will further focus on the green transformation projects in their manufacturing processes and value-added product studies that will minimize carbon footprint.

Giving an account of the new manufacturing facility in North Macedonia, Orhan Kahveci said that they will manufacture 3 million square meters sandwich panel and 350 thousand cubic meters EPS products annually when the factory construction is complete, and that they will also employ 120 people. Emphasizing the importance of becoming a well-known brand in the European market, Kahveci said that they will increase the growth target by enhancing their operations in the North Macedonian industry.

He underlined that it is necessary to act with an awareness of social responsibility while expanding their targets, and stated that they used every means available to solve the sheltering problem in 10 cities affected from the Kahramanmaraş earthquake, which ripped the heart out of the whole country. Expressing that they continue manufacturing the necessary sandwich roof and wall panels for the construction of 43 thousand container houses in the first stage of the project, which was developed as two stages, Kahveci explained that their relief works do not only include meeting the need of sheltering, but also supplying fundamental needs such as food, beverages, and hygiene materials.

In the second part of the meeting, the speech given by the Economist and Academic Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin about the Turkish and global economy also attracted guests’ attention. Then, he was granted crystal plate to crown his achievements in the product group which is sold to the domestic and foreign dealers. In the interactive meeting, General Manager Kahveci thanked to each member of Teknopanel family for their devoted and value-added efforts, which has carried the leadership flag to the top.
